About Local 166
OPSEU-SEFPO Local 166 represents workers across London and southwestern Ontario, fighting for fair wages, safe workplaces, and strong public services.
Who We Are
OPSEU-SEFPO Local 166 is a bargaining unit of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union / Syndicat des employes de la fonction publique de l'Ontario. Our members work across the London region in public services that our communities depend on, including healthcare, social services, education, and government administration.
We negotiate collective agreements that protect wages, benefits, job security, and working conditions. Beyond the bargaining table, our local stands with members through grievances, workplace accommodations, and advocacy for health and safety standards.
Local 166 is member-led. Our executive, stewards, and bargaining team are all members who volunteer their time to strengthen the union and support their coworkers.
What We Do

- Represent members in grievances and disputes
- Advocate for workplace health and safety
- Organize picket lines and strike actions when necessary
- Build solidarity across the labour movement
